The Getty - LA

The Getty Center in Los Angeles exhibits a body of work that spans mediums and eras: Renaissance paintings and furniture to Modern costumes and Contemporary photography. While all the art work is fantastic and well curated, I found myself so drawn to the architecture and space of the museum itself. The Getty sits on a hill that overlooks all of Los Angeles and the open space between each gallery building inspires a calm and creative environment. The museum is free of charge, aiming to welcome and educate the general public.

In addition, and if you have time, I highly recommend a visit to the Getty Villa in Malibu to complete the whole Getty Museum experience. The Villa houses the antiquities collections. Getting to the Villa is half the fun as the Pacific Coast Highway twists along the shimmering Pacific.
